Professional helicopter instructor certificate (fih)

Obtention requirements

To be aged of minimum 18 year-old.

To have successfully passed the theoretical professional helicopter pilot exam.

To have 10 hours of instruction in flight with instruments.

To have 20 hours flight as a commander.

For Private helicopter pilot certificate's owner:

To have 250 hours of helicopter flight ( 200 hours as a commander) .

For Professional helicopter pilot certificate's owner:

To have 250 hour of helicopter flight ( 100 hours as a commander) .

To have followed a training of helicopter instructor theoretical and practical.

To have successfully passed the theoretical professional exam(2 hour flight).

Training program (training period, minimum 3 weeks)

1,5 h theoretical evaluation (on ground).

1,5 h practical evaluation.

125 h theoretical and teaching courses on the ground.

30 h of flight instructionl .

1,5 h theoretical and teaching exam on the ground.

1,5 h flight exam .

PROROGATION and renewal of the qualification of instructor

The qualification of instructor helicopter is valid 3 years.

You must empty two of the three following conditions for the prorogation:

To have exempted 100 H of instruction in flight including 30 H in the last twelve months.
To have attended a follow-up seminar of instructor.
To have succeeded with a control of competence of instructor in the last 12 months (must be made at least once on two).
To meet conditions 1 and 2 in the 12 previous months for the renewal.
