Prorogation of type rating

Prorogation :

Type certification revalidation act during its validity period.

If the type certification is prorogated within the 3 months prior to its expiry date, it will be renewed until the prior validity ending date.

If the type certification is prorogated within the 3 months prior to its expiry date, it is renewed until the last day of the month following the successful completion of the qualification test. A type certification is worth 12 months.

For mono piston helicopter :

To have undertaken 2 hours flight as a dual flight pilot or commander on the helicopter type within the validity period.

To complete a qualifications assessment on the type of helicopter to prorogate.

For mono engine harness helicopter of a maximum weight <3175 kg : :

To complete only one qualifications assessment on one the harness mono engine acquired to the following conditions:

The pilot must have 300 h helicopter commander +

15 h commander on each of the other types harness mono engine acquired +

Undertaken at least 2 h as a commander within the validity period on each of the other types harness mono engine acquired AND

Every year the qualifications assessment must be carried out on a different harness mono engine.

If one of the conditions stated above is not respected for one of the harness mono engine acquired, a qualifications skills assessment must be carried out.
